BREXIT - changes as of 01.10.2021/01.01.2022

The stricter customs regulations planned for 1 October 2021 for Veterinary goods were postponed at short notice.

The requirement for an exit declaration and a security declaration for the return of empties and empty transport units from Great Britain from 1 October 2021 remains in place.

Veterinary goods:

With the Export to Great Britain are now only permitted from 1 July 2022 For the majority of the veterinary goods listed below, veterinary certificates are required to accompany the consignment.

  • Food and beverages (products of animal origin for human consumption such as meat, fish and dairy products)
  • Animal by-products
  • Compound foods

British importers are now only available from the 1 January 2022 obliged to inform the British Animal Plant Health Agency (APHA) about the Import from the EU to Great Britain (GB) using the Import of products, animals, food and feed system (IPAFFS).

Empty pallets, empty transport units:

When returning empty containers, empty transport units or pallets from the UK to the EU without an export declaration (without export MRN), a digital exit summary declaration (EXS) and a safety and security declaration (ENS) per shipment will be required from 1 October 2021 before departure. We can take over the submission of this declaration. Our sales department will inform you of the costs in good time.
