What is multimodal transport?
Multimodal transport means that during a transport process several different modes of transport - such as lorry, train, ship or plane - under a single contract of carriage can be utilised. This means that the entire transport chain is organised end-to-end and legally covered by one contractual partner.
What does multimodal transport mean for us as a universal freight forwarding and logistics service provider?
Our goal is to, multimodal transport efficiently and fully utilise its potential. Together with our customers, we analyse the existing consignment structures, determine the relocation potential and develop individual concepts for multimodal transport. The prerequisite is that the goods are generally suitable for relocation or can be adapted accordingly. Transport takes place in 45' containers in a door-to-door service - involving various modes of transport (road, rail, water).
