1. lorry toll in the Netherlands
From 1 July 2026, the Netherlands will introduce a new, distance-based truck toll („Vrachtwagenheffing“) on almost all motorways and many provincial and municipal roads. This system will replace the previous, time-based Eurovignette.
The change from flat-rate to distance-based charges results in additional costs.
According to the Dutch Road Transport Authority (RDW), the kilometre-based toll for trucks eligible for Interteam with Euro 6 standard and CO₂ emission class 1 with a total weight of over 32 tonnes is: € 0.201 per KM driven. These costs are valid from 01.07.2026 and are initially valid until 01.09.2026.
2nd CO₂ surcharge in Belgium
From 1 July 2026, the Flemish Region (Belgium) will introduce a CO₂ surcharge on the existing truck toll. This measure means that in future, toll charges will be calculated according to the individual CO₂ emission class of the respective vehicle in addition to the Euro standard.
The CO₂ emission-related surcharge for trucks eligible for Interteam with Euro 6 standard and CO₂ emission class 1 with a total weight of over 32 tonnes is €0.082 per kilometre driven.
