Toll significantly higher than expected

The latest calculations show that the average toll, currently 18.5 cents, is significantly higher than the Federal Ministry of Transport suggests in public. In the statistics of the Federal Office for Long-Distance Freight Transport (BAG), the mileage subject to tolls is listed according to pollutant classes.

The announced increase to 16.3 cents is based on the fact that 80 % of the mileage is performed by Euro 5 lorries. The German Road Haulage, Logistics and Disposal Association (BGL) now wants to have the amount of the toll reviewed in a lawsuit and recommends that companies only pay the toll conditionally.
