Freight forwarding and logistics sector remains optimistic

According to a recent survey, around 85 per cent of freight forwarding and logistics companies are reporting declining turnover and profits. Just under 60 per cent describe their economic situation as poor with prospects for improvement. Around 25 per cent of freight forwarders even consider the economic situation to be satisfactory or good and currently see new opportunities. Finally, 15 per cent of companies rate their situation as poor with no prospect of improvement. Interteam Speditionsgesellschaft, based in Hamburg and Berlin, was able to continue its further development this year. Volumes to Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and France continued to increase. Volumes on the main routes to England and Ireland continued to grow. In addition to 45′ containers or 13.6 M. trailers, mega trailers and jumbo lorries are increasingly being used.
